SAFETY

Droneworks 360 commits to the highest safety standards for drone use. Droneworks 360 have authorisation to operate under certain limitations and conditions. We continuously monitor and improve our processes to make sure we meet all current legislation and standards.

Because our drone pilots are fully trained and insured, we can apply for permission to fly in restricted locations such as close to airports or sensitive locations if necessary. This can include congested areas and flying at night time (under our CAA-approved Operations Manual).

Insured–£1 m Public Liability (or more by arrangement)

Depending on the work, we can carry out a detailed online pre-flight survey with location checks that include airspace restrictions, nearby airports and no-fly zones to see if there are any flight restrictions we need to be aware of.

Each aerial photography job is risk assessed individually in accordance with our CAA approved operations manual. We can include cordons, clearly marked landing area, and ground safety personnel when necessary.  All aircraft are fitted with “return to home” safety features.

The following (when necessary) are included with each flight:

  • Fall Risk Assessment
  • Pre-Flight Survey
  • Liaison with Air Traffic Control
  • £1m Public Liability Cover (or more by arrangement)
  • Raising of NOTAM (Notice to Airmen)
  • Submission of Non-Standard Flight Request to National Air Traffic
